deidre_c mentioned pining for stories that you want RIGHT NOW and it got me thinking...

What is a story you've always pined for but never found... or a story that you pined for AND found... Or a story you got tired of waiting for and wrote yourself? Maybe just a wishlist of things you'd like to see in a story?

You never know... maybe someone will get inspired. Maybe I'll get inspired... (because I need something to write other than my cliche fics, my big bang fic and my sweet charity fic... OI WITH THE POODLES ALREADY!!)

I have really only *skirted* RPS but I have the strangest hankering for a J2 version of Untamed Heart... If it's not out there I might have to write it myself and just really give up all pretense of NOT DOING THAT... haahahaaa...

As for something I'd REALLY want to read - a John-Dean gen story, where in the light of a hunt, and after facing the MOTW, John realizes somewhere along the way, he's made a huge mistake and tries talking to Dean, to show him he is proud of his son, that he does love him, and that Dean means so much more than just a soldier and a backup. Of course, I assume Dean will hear it through his low self esteem filter, but still....

Also, if anyone was to write this (http://sams1ra.livejournal.com/39432.html#cutid1), it would be awesome... =D

I've always loved the fics that crossover with Mythology and I've only read two of them.

*I was requesting a lot of fics a couple of months ago (that went unanswered) for Sam being completly exhausted and actually passing out from exhaustion/negligence on a hunt/in a motel. That also went with the untold story of Sam vs. Ulcer.

*Multiple possesion in a haunted mansion.

Well, there's a fic I keep saying I will write and never do...but I'd totally trust you to write it if you like the concept.

That is an AU where instead of Bill Harvelle dying on the hunt, John does, and as he's dying he makes Bill promise to raise his kids. Ellen and Bill forge adoption papers and Sam and Dean become Harvelle-Winchester's living at the Roadhouse. I even looked up all the dates in Jo's journal etc. and when Bill died (in canon) Dean was 16, Sam 12 and Jo 10 years old respectively.

I think at 16 Dean would be set on the hunter's life for sure. Sam would surely be going to college under different circumstances though, with Ellen around to coddle him... and don't tell me she wouldn't. She'd be very proud. And Jo as the little sister would be interesting, especially since she's Bill's little girl.

Anyway, if you're not interested I'll keep it on my "to do one day" list, but that is one idea that's been floating about my brain for ages and I've never seen written. :)

I'm dying to see an age regression story...of John. Like he comes home after a hunt. Dean is 14, Sam is 10, John is 8. And Dean has to figure out how to get them all to Jim's safely, while Sam isn't sure he really wants to share his toys. It has the potential for humor and drama. I've never read a story like this and would love to.

On the RPS front, I'd really like to see someone do SGA/SPN RPS, because they film in the same town, and the novelty of seeing a couple of "old dudes" (Jason and Joe) skateboarding has got to catch J&J's attention (OMG, that would be 4J(+D)!)

I just got into SGA, and ever since starting season two for some reason I have wanted to read a Ronon Dex meets Dean Forester from Gilmore Girls and like...either falls in love with him or wants to make him his new best friend, and Dean is sort of freaked, but Ronon is all 'Wow you're almost as tall as me. Let me teach you how to knife fight' and I have NO IDEA how it would work, (is Dean in Atlantis for some reason or is Ronon visiting Earth or...who the hell knows), but I think I would pay someone to write that.

I want to see Sam and Dean hunting down the Snuggle bear. Or something that messes with their laundry. Maybe Sam finally got Dean to invest in all natural dryer sheets. Maybe these dryer sheets have a special concotion of herbs that accidentally summon an extremely low level chaos demon that steals one sock from every pair. I don't know, but I would like to see something like that.

I'd also like to see a fic where Sam and Dean are investigating deaths surrounding a cosmetic surgery clinic. Dean goes in to get a little more information and when he comes out Sam catches him looking at his crow's feet and other fine lines.

As bizarre as this sounds, I would really love to see a Jake/Jo AU fic someday. It just... it hits all my buttons in all the right ways.
