Everybody in da house say "Yearly Roundup"
First off, before rounding up commences,
too_rational updated the PDFs for Doll!verse and Wing!verse with request ficlets recently written so if you like these stories, I suggest checking these out as this is collection with art included.
I'm not including request ficlets in the roundup. Mostly I just think of those as presents for the specific people whereas the rest of the stories are for me.

Overall Thoughts: Less than I wanted to write but more than I expected to write this year.
Now onto those pesky questions -
Looking back, did you write more, less or about what you would've predicted?
I used to churn out so much more and I'd like to think it's a time factor rather than running out of ideas.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you never would've guessed?
Writing RPS and Sam/Dean was new for me. I think I probably had some people drop off the flist because of it but I still love the gen and will remain a predominantly gen writer.
What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
I'd actually say And So Say All Of Us which is the Gilmore Girls fic. I completely missed when this was an active fandom and I've gotten some lovely GG stories written for *me* but if there was one OTP I was ever going to have, it would be Rory and Dean. Or, y'know, Rory and Sam Winchester.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?

kamikaze_remix is always a little bit of a cliff-jump and I of course got assigned something that I am even squeamish about reading. It was rewarding though because the story for that was probably the easiest thing I wrote all year.
My best story of this year:
Definitely that thing that's golden. It was one of the few stories that came out on the page the way it formed in my brain.
My most popular story of this year:
I'm pretty sure it was that thing that's golden again. It's weird but the stuff I labour over never seems to quite work as well as the stories that just flood out of me.
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
I feel like if I even get one person saying hey, I liked that then that story is appreciated. I also think I'm completely spoiled as a gen writer where appreciation is concerned.
Most fun story to write:
the perfect spot to hear the apocalypse, acoustically speaking. I've just bought the Big Bang Theory on DVD because I'd only caught the occasional episode but now I'm in love.
Story with the single sexiest moment:
Lalalala... moving on. I can't really judge this because I still do the blushy, fade to black in most of my stories. I read other people's sexy and just think, why can't I do that on paper??
Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:
Nothing really scandalous of note this year. How disappointing!
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
Probably the Big Bang Theory because I now want a Sheldon of my own to snuggle and freak out.
Hardest story to write:
Probably the Sweet Charity fic because I really wanted to make it good and it just wasn't making it to the page that way. The number of times I scrapped what I was writing and started again was more than I care to mention.
Biggest Disappointment:
I'd say the Big Bang story - not because of the experience because it was awesome and it was amazing to finish and my artist was super lovely but... the story just didn't end up the way I'd first envisioned.
girlguidejones however is mostly credited with turning the hot mess it was into the coherent story that was posted. I just think on reflection I probably rushed and padded it because I needed to make a word count.
Biggest Surprise:
Nothing really surprising.
Most Unintentionally Telling Story:
I think every story I write says something about me, about where I am and what kind of brainspace I'm in.
Fic-writing goals for 2010:
ORIGINAL FIC. I'm actually thinking of converting the Imitant fic into something maybe. I also have a future werewolf fic I've been tossing around lately but supernatural fic is a double-edged sword at the moment. You don't want to look like you're jumping onto the bandwagon for popularity's sake but you also have to go where the audience is, at least for a first novel.
